There is a wealth of activities to enjoy during your visit to the Isle of Wight, from walking through to cycling, horse riding, sailing, golf and more adventure based activities such as kite surfing.   The Savoy is the perfect base for Isle of Wight activity holidays.

Beaches

The Isle of Wight has a number of spectacular award winning beaches where you can relax. There are small secluded beaches, such as Totland, through to larger beaches at Compton - both in West Wight

Walking

There are a number of way marked trails. The Isle of Wight is unspoilt, rich in wildlife with varied landscapes and fascinating archaeology. The Isle of Wight's Jurassic Coast offers a golden opportunity for your family to explore the fossils and dinosaur footprints of Compton Bay and beyond.  The Isle of Wight is well known for its activity breaks.

Cycling

Over 500 miles of cycle track! You can follow the Heritage Coast for 30 miles; there are extensive bridleways and quiet roads and if you're really keen there's a 62-mile ‘Round the Island' route, it's a fantastic way to explore the Isle of Wight. There a several outlets where you can hire bikes.

Horse riding

There are approximately 165 miles of bridleways for horse riding and there are several riding schools on the Isle of Wight.  

Golf

The Isle of Wight is home to eight golf courses, the closest is at Freshwater. Other golf courses are located at Cowes, Osborne, Newport, Ryde, Westridge, Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor. The Savoy makes an excellent base for golfing holidays.

Sailing

The Isle of Wight is home to one of the most famous sailing events in the world - Cowes Week. The Solent offers excellent opportunities for sailing and boats are available to charter with several local companies.

Adventure sports

If you are looking for adventure sports, the Isle of Wight offers para gliding, kite surfing, gliding, scuba diving and much more.
